Currently in Miami-Dade County, women without medical coverage qualify for the removal of cancerous tissue however are left without a breast(s) and the physical scaring of their battle against Breast Cancer.

Pink Petals is a group of amazing surgeons/specialist from The Healing Hands Foundation & local doctors whom have collectively come together to help these women attain the goal of reconstructive surgery after a mastectomy (breast removal due to cancer).



FIU’s School of Hospitality, Bill Hansen’s Catering Class, and community sponsors will be hosting “THE PINK PETALS BALL” on December 1st 2011 to raise funds and spread awareness towards this cause. There are many avenues and directions in which we can come together as a community to help raise the spirits of these breast cancer survivors!!!

The Pink Petals Ball - This is an upper division FIU Hospitality student-organized event under the professional supervision of Professor Bill Hansen from Bill Hansen Catering.
